Annual RNLI Lifeboat Week - A week of exciting events and demonstrations.

Sat 26th July
MX5 owners club rally: an exhibition of MX5 cars from all over the country on the Marine Parade
Lifeboat Welcoming Display off Main Beach: Watch preparations for the launch, listen to the commentary and meet the Crew of the 'Pearl of Dorset'
Lyme Regis Majorettes Display in the Cobb area
'Meet the Lifeguards' Fun, games and sport on the beach
Hawaiian Night disco, the Cobb Arms
Live music in the Royal Standard and at the Nags Head

Sun 27th July
20-20 Cricket at the George IV ground, Uplyme
Lifeboat Week Art Exhibition and Sale by Lyme Regis Art Group. Marine Parade Shelters. 10 am to 5 pm. Weather permitting.
Churches Together Open Air Service; All welcome Marine Parade Shelters 10.30am Collection for RNLI
Classic Car Display by members of The Southern Milestone Club, Marine Parade 11.30
Morris Dancing by 'Treacle Eater Clog' Team at Cobb Square and on the slipway with 'Quayside Cloggies' and 'Dorset Buttons'
'Songs of Praise' presented by Lyme Regis Churches with the Lyme Regis Town Band playing. All welcome, Marine Parade Shelters (East) 3pm
Fun Run Start and Finish at West Gate on Marine Parade 17.30. Enter between 4 and 5.15pm at the Lifeboat Station

Live Music at the Nags Head - country style music from Alan West and Steve Black

Weds 30th July
Emergency Services Day - Men and women from six emergency services will be demonstrating their skills. Coastguards, ambulance crews, the fire and rescue service, the police, RNLI Lifeguards and the lifeboat will all be performing a series of exercises on Emergency Services Day. The coastguard helicopter from Portland and Weymouth’s two and a half million pound RNLI all weather lifeboat will also be joining the demonstrations. Among the exercises will be cliff and sea rescues, a rescue from mud and a car fire.

Annual Somers Day Commemoration Parade from Langmoor Gardens to the Cobb: celebration of Lyme Regis & St George's, Bermuda commemorating the founding of Bermuda in 1609; 11.15 - 12 noon Representatives from Bermuda will attend. Led by the Lyme Regis Junior Band
Tombola All day on the Marine Parade
From 11am Barbecue on the Slipway run by the crew
Teddy Bear's Picnic. Admission: Teddy Bears £1 accompanying children and adults free. 15.00
