Important new advice on fire safety
South West Tourism have recently held several meetings with fire authorities and other experts, to provide clear answers to some of the many questions that accommodation providers have. This article sets out clear points that are likely to affect all accommodation providers now.
All accommodation providers are now required to prepare an Access Statement as part of their quality grading assessment with VisitBritain.
Starting now and ending in 2012, TV services in the UK will go completely digital, TV region by region. We have posted some information on our website to keep you informed of what this may mean for you.

Bid to host Shotgun World Cup 2010 near Dorchester
British Shooting, in conjunction with Dorset County Council and West Dorset District Council are hoping to host an International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in May 2010. Further information about the bid can be found here.

Dorset and New Forest Tourism Partnership
The Dorset and New Forest Tourism Partnership (DNFTP) supports local businesses by providing subsidised training and business support for all those who work in the tourism and hospitality industry. Visit their website for further information.
As you may be aware the tourism strategy produced by South West Tourism in 2004, called Towards 2015, included an action to set up new partnerships based on the counties of the south west.
The public, private and voluntary sectors involved in tourism in Dorset have responded positively to this. A new partnership called Destination Dorset has been formed, lead by Jeremy Pope and Martin Cox. Visit our Destination Dorset page for further information about this partnership.
