A 300 year old thatched cottage, set in its own peaceful 3 acres, with the river running through the middle of our field.

Situated in the hamlet of Athelhampton, 200 yards from the 15 century Athelhampton House and Gardens. The famous Tolpuddle Martyrs, Thomas Hardy's cottage and Kingston Mauward etc. nearby. 6 miles from Dorchester and 12 miles from Weymouth.

White Cottage is an ideal location, surrounded by forest and fields, it's perfect for rural walks, bird watching and cycling.

We have 3 elegant bedrooms, each with a mini fridge with complementary bottles of water etc, dressing gowns, hair dryers, complementary fruit and fresh flowers. Children are most welcome, cots and high chairs can be provided.

Road Directions

On the M27 head west to Bournemouth (this narrows into the A31). Stay on the A31 past Bournemouth and Wimborne to Dorchster. At the end of the A31 is a roundabout with the A35 near Bere Regis. Turn right onto the A35 to Dorchester and Tolpuddle. Come off the A35 to Tolpuddle, drive through Tolpuddle to Athelhampton. We are on the left hand side just as you enter Athelhampton.
