Quality Grading Explained

When you are looking for a place to stay, you need resassurance that your choice of accommodation meets your expectations. All properties featured on this website have been inspected and meet designated criteria meaning that you can relax and make your booking with confidence.

All accommodation featured on this website meet the standards set by the Dorset Approved Visitor Accommodation Scheme. This scheme ensures that all legal requirements regarding health and safety are met and that good customer practices are being implemented.

Many of the properties also choose to undertake a more complete assessment by either VisitEngland or the AA. As well as the elements of the Dorset Approved Visitor Accommodation Scheme, the quality of the guest experience is assessed. Properties are visited annually by trained and impartial assessors and are graded from one to five stars or pennants, with five being the highest available. For full details of ratings and what they mean please visit the Enjoy England website.

If an accommodation establishment is shown as 'awaiting grading' this means that the property has applied for, but not yet received an assessment.
