The Easter Egg Hunt with a difference. Don’t miss this Great Easter Event that takes place whatever the weather. Spot the dinosaur eggs on display and solve the Dinosaur Mystery. Everyone wins a prize whatever they score. Great Fun for all the family.
Tim Batty, the museum’s curator, said, “The Great Dinosaur Hunt is fun for children and all those children who correctly crack the code and solve the dinosaur mystery win a special certificate.”

“Among the most popular exhibits in the museum are the life-size reconstructions of dinosaurs. There are 11 in all representing all types of dinosaurs. These include carnivorous dinosaurs such as T rex; armoured dinosaurs of which Stegosaurus is an example with its characteristic bony plates; feathered dinosaurs such as Troodon – a highly intelligent dinosaur; Ceratopsian dinosaurs of which Triceratops is a good example with its distinguishing three large horns; and a pterosaur known as Nyctosaurus which is a prehistoric flying reptile.”

The Dinosaur Museum is situated in the centre of Dorchester the historic county town of Dorset. Over the year’s it has won much acclaim, most recently being cited as one of Britain’s top ten family museums. It is open daily from 10am to 4pm. The Great Dinosaur Hunt starts on Saturday 22 October and ends on Sunday 30 October. For further information telephone 01305 269880 or visit www.thedinosaurmuseum.com
