The prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum, at Sparkford in Somerset is the UK's largest exhibition of the greatest cars from around the world. A living and working museum, with over 350 amazing cars and bikes from nostalgic classics of the 50s and 60s, glorious Bentleys and Rolls Royces to exciting super cars of today, like the Jaguar XJ220 and the Ferrari 360.
There are many events running at the museum all through the summer and into the winter.
18th - 25th Feb
Alien Invasion
“Watch out the Aliens are coming”, but do not worry, we will keep them trapped in our very own Tardis for all to see. Walk through the famous blue Tardis doors into a world of sci-fi wonder. Get up close and personal with some of the most famous characters and props from the small and big screen, but remember not to let them out when you leave!
22nd - 25th April
Alien Egg Hunt
Some of the Aliens have escaped overnight and laid some strange looking eggs around the museum. Bring your children along to see how many eggs they can find in order to win a tasty prize!
2nd May (Bank Holiday)
Terry Grant Stunt Spectacular with Dream Car Rides
See the world famous precision stunt driver performing a unique mix of extreme driving stunts. Take an adrenaline drifting ride around our track or a dream car ride out on the road. Plenty of activities for the little ones as well.
8th May
Swedish Car Day
From the country that has the best rally drivers and the safest cars in the world, come along to see these most excellent cars at a day dedicated to Swedish marques.
30th May (Bank Holiday)
Wallace and Gromit
Come and meet Wallace and Gromit at the museum. There’s plenty of wacky stuff going on including face painting and a balloon sculptor making amazing models to take away!
19th June Fathers Day
Drifting & Dream Car Rides
Forget socks and chocolate. Treat Dad to a once in a life-time chance to ride in some iconic cars. Choose from a selection of museum cars or for the ultimate rush, an adrenaline drifting experience.
3rd July
Exotic Car Day with Dream Car Rides
An amazing day out for all you ‘Petrol Heads’ out there. Exotic and supercar displays, as well as dream car rides on the road.

Jaguar E-Type 50th Anniversary Exhibition
Celebrating 50 years of the Jaguar E-Type.

Adrenaline Day with Drifting & Dream Car Rides
Come and treat yourselves to a ride in one of our museum cars, or
if you are really brave have a passenger ride in one of our drifting cars
on the track.
7th August
Roary the Racing Car and Big Chris
Calling all Roary and Big Chris Fans! The children’s TV favourites will be visiting the museum for a family fun day.
14th August
Mega Monster Madness with Drifting & Dream Car Rides
Come along for a monster day at the museum. See the Grim Reaper and the enormously destructive Big Pete, the biggest and meanest monster truck in Europe.
21st August
Haynes Motorcycle Show in association with Bikesafe
A bikers heaven all in one place. Come along and see the James Dylan stunt show, the world famous Wall of Death, Xtreme Wheelie Machine, Bikesafe training, bike clubs, trade stands, and demonstrations through the day.
29th August (Bank Holiday)
Italian Job Stunt Show with Drifting & Dream Car Rides
Russ Swift is back again with his superb stunt show, a favourite at Haynes.
4th September
Rare Breeds Car Show
From the quick to the quirky, the exotic to the exceptional, a chance to see the rarest and most unique cars in the world at one big event.
24th - 28th October (Half Term)
Circus Skills Workshops
These fantastic workshops will be running throughout the day giving children the chance to learn various circus skills including: tightrope walking, juggling, plate spinning, unicycles and much more.
13th November
Haynes Model Show
A one day transport model extravaganza featuring all things miniature. From planes to trains, and cars to trucks, diecast, radio controlled, children’s workshops, trade and club stands. A great day out for all model enthusiasts.

The museum is located at Sparkford near Yeovil, just off the A303 and 30 minutes from junction 25 of the M5. High profile brown tourist signs from all major trunk roads, provide easy to follow directions to the Museum.
By Rail
The main line station at Castle Cary is 5 miles from the Museum, with it's high speed link between Paddington and Penzance. The line also serves a regular daily route between Bristol and Weymouth with regular stops at Yeovil.
