The prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum, at Sparkford in Somerset is the UK's largest exhibition of the greatest cars from around the world. A living and working museum, with over 350 amazing cars and bikes from nostalgic classics of the 50s and 60s, glorious Bentleys and Rolls Royces to exciting super cars of today, like the Jaguar XJ220 and the Ferrari 360.

There are many events running at the museum all through the summer and into the winter.

Monday 16th to Saturday 21st February - Fun Half Term Activities

Sunday 12th & Monday 13th April - Easter with Postman Pat and Jess the Cat. Meet Postman Pat and Jess the Cat, appearing at intervals on Sunday and Monday.

Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th April - Bikesafe Southwest 2009

Monday 4th May (Bank Holiday) - Motorbike Stunt Show. See expert rider Dave Coates make a fresh world record attempt during his amazing stunt packed show.

Sunday 10th May - Swedish Car Day. A family fun day dedicated to Swedish marques.

Sunday 17th May - BMW South West Rally

Monday 25th May (Bank Holiday) - Freestyle Motocross Stunt Show. Watch two of the world's best stunt riders perform amazing stunts and tricks.

Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June - Father's Day Weekend Dream Car Rides. Treat Dad to a special day out with a ride in one of the museum cars, from a supercar to a luxury car, the choice is yours!

Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June - Morris Minor Owners Club National Rally

Sunday 12th July - Great Mini Meet. 50th Anniversary Classic Mini gathering.

Sunday 19th July to Sunday 6th September - Summer Mini Exhibition. A new exhibition celebrating 50 years of the Mini.

Sunday 2nd August - Live Action Day. A fun filled day, including museum exhibit parades, drifting and rally demos, children's activities and dream car rides.

Sunday 9th August - Team Extreme (Extreme Sports Stunt Show). Stunning world class displays and workshops on skateboarding, BMX and inline skating.

Sunday 16th August - Retro Rides Gathering. Hot Rods and Customs through to Circuit Racers and Stock Dailys.

Sunday 23rd August - Live Action Day. A fun filled day, including museum exhibit parades, drifting and rally demos, children's activities and dream car rides.

Monday 31st August (Bank Holiday) - Italian Job Stunt Show. Fresh from recording the 40th anniversary edition of the Italian Job Russ Swift will be performing his fantastic stunt show.

Sunday 6th September - Rare Breeds Car Show. From the quirky to the exotic, a unique chance to see some of the rarer cars all together in one big event, including concours event and club competitons.

Saturday 19th September - Greenpower. Back again from the Somerset Regional Heat, come and see the students compete in their electric cars.

Monday 26th to Saturday 31st October - Fun Half Term Activities

Road Directions

The museum is located at Sparkford near Yeovil, just off the A303 and 30 minutes from junction 25 of the M5. High profile brown tourist signs from all major trunk roads, provide easy to follow directions to the Museum.

Public Transport Directions

By Rail

The main line station at Castle Cary is 5 miles from the Museum, with it's high speed link between Paddington and Penzance. The line also serves a regular daily route between Bristol and Weymouth with regular stops at Yeovil.
