Dorset Food Week: Dorset Apple Cake Day at Bridport TIC

As part of Dorset Food Week and to celebrate that most wonderful of Dorset's foods - the Great Dorset Apple Cake - Bridport Tourist Information Centre are holding an Apple Cake competition, which will be judged by last year's Symondsbury Apple Cake Competition winner Mrs Pauline Bale. The competition is free to enter, and once judging is completed, members of the public will be encouraged to sample the entries. Bridport's own Punch & Judy Bakery are also providing samples of their excellent Dorset Apple Cake - a recipe which goes back to 1911! So come along and enjoy a wonderful day with one of Dorset's favourite treats!
