Abbotsbury Swannery is the only place in the world where you are able to walk through the heart of a colony of nesting Mute Swans and from mid-May to late June, hundreds of fluffy cygnets hatch from eggs in nests on or near the pathways.
Swannery is open daily 15th March to 2nd November, 10.00am to 5.00/6.00pm, please ring to confirm closing time. Last admission one hour before closing.
Mass Feeding sessions daily - 12.00 & 4.00pm.
New for 2008: Giant Swan Maze. A giant maze in the shape of a swan has been planted using living willow withies which grow naturally at the Swannery. Find your way to the giant egg at the centre! Opens end May.

Nearest major road is A35. Come off the A35 at Winterbourne-Abbas, west of Dorchester. Follow signs Portesham/Abbotsbury. The Swannery is in Abbotsbury on the B3157 coast road between Weymouth and Bridport and is sign posted on entering the village.
Nearest train station is Weymouth. The X53 Jurassic Coast bus runs regularly through Abbotsbury, the Gardens are approximately 2 miles from the centre of the village.
