From Romans to rope-making. Bridport Museum tells the unique story of the town from its Saxon origins. This includes the towns world famous rope and net trade and the stories of everyday people. There is a display of artefacts from a nearby Roman hill fort you can even try on a toga! Temporary exhibitions change annually. The local history centre , situated nearby, is an extensive references resource for family and local historians.
