West Dorset, a region of temperate climes, gentle downlands and sweeping coastlines, is home to a variety of high quality producers of delicious food and drink.

Some of our most famed producers include Moores Dorset Biscuits in Morecombelake, Eldridge Pope and Palmers Brewers in Dorchester and Bridport, Forest Products in Bridport, Dorchester Chocolates and Abbotsbury Oysters.

Fish and chips at West BayFish and shellfish are abundant along our World Heritage coastline, get to the shops and market stalls early to get the best of the mornings catch. Alternatively, treat yourself to a fresh seafood supper on the the picturesque harbours at Lyme Regis or West Bay.

There's a wide selection of local produce available from the numerous and often organic farms throughout West Dorset. Local farmers' markets are also well worth a visit.

Enjoy afternoon tea at one of the many small cafés serving BBQtea and homemade cakes. In the evening choose from village pubs serving delicious home cooked meals, bistros and fine restaurants in all corners of West Dorset or there are plenty of takeaways if you would prefer a quick bite to eat.
