Going Green

VisitBritain are encouraging more businesses to 'go green' with the introduction of an entry-level programme called 'Green Start'. It aims to assist businesses to understand what they need to do to become more sustainable and lead them through activities that could improve their business performance.

It is designed to provide tourism businesses with a stepping stone towards accreditation by a validated sustainable accreditation scheme such as the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

By adopting Green Start, a business is signalling to visitors that it recognises the importance and value of sustainable good practice.
