The history of Beaminster and its surrounding villages through displays of social history, farming, schools, wartime, commerce, industry, from pre-historic, Roman and 19th and 20th centuries. Exhibitions of local archaeology and the geological history of the world-famous Horn Park quarry. Special exhibitions throughout the season. Facilities include a reference library and a shop. In the words of a recent visitor "what a gem of a place". Something for all the family.

Public Transport Directions

Regular bus services from Bridport and Yeovil. Alight at the Square, walk 300 metres towards Bridport, turn left onto Whitcombe Road, Museum 30 metres on the left.
