Probably one of the best gardens of it's type in the world. Twice winner of silver award at Chelsea and silver gilt at Hampton Court Show. Magnificent Victorian walled garden set in 20 acres of woodland valley. The unique micro climate enables rare and exotic species from all over the world to thrive here. Children's adventure play area. Nature trail. Sunken gardens with peacocks and pheasants. Superb colonial style teahouse with veranda overlooking the sunken garden. Plant centre selling high quality plants, charming gift shop and free parking, outstanding viewsof the newly designated golden World Heritage Coast from a high viewing point.

Nearest major road is A35. Come off the A35 at Winterbourne-Abbas near Dorchester. Follow signs Portesham/Abbotsbury. The gardens are in Abbotsbury on the B3157 coast road between Weymouth and Bridport.

Public Transport Directions

Nearest station is Weymouth. The X53 Jurassic Coast bus runs regularly through Abbotsbury, the Gardens are approximately 2 miles from the centre of the village.
